I survived the last day, just barely. The last day always has mixed emotions, and while I was standing in the bus parking lot with the rest of the teachers waving good-bye to the buses as they drove away I always feel so sad to say good-bye. I was given this poem when I began my student teaching in college and it is my favorite education poem. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
I am very lucky to have three wonderful teacher assistants that work with our 2nd grade team. We rotate them throughout the week and they do so much for us! I was scouring pinterest again for a cute gift idea and kept coming back to the Starbucks cup. It's just too cute and the saying is too! My teaching buddy (and BFF) who teaches right next door to me, we have adjoining doors, which is awesome, went in on the gift since they work with both of us. I can't wait to give them to out tomorrow!
Yay for Friday!!! I've been checking the followers and I am 9 away from 200!!! In the meantime...I just left our grade level meeting where I shared this little document. We used this to begin planning and I thought others might find it useful. Even though planning is not very exciting, this has really helped us to get started.
