Snow globes and Elves

I am excited to share these pictures with you because I think they are just the cutest writing activities!  Last week and today we finished up writing an imaginary piece about "If I lived in a snow globe...". The idea was on pinterest and the pictures are too cute.  The writing was alright, they haven't been on their game lately with writing but we are just practicing, practicing, practicing!

Then we also completed some serious Elf Applications.  These are available for FREE download from What the Teacher Wants! They are also aligned to the common core.  They turned out super cute and my kiddos took them very seriously.  They also had some pretty funny questions about the fingerprint part.

Is anyone else having trouble with blogger?  Mine did not want to let me upload photos today, it took forever for this post!  Hope everyone is having a great week!  Only 3.5 more days for us!  Woo Hoo!

Calendars are complete!

Our calendars are complete, bound and ready to be wrapped.  Here are the pictures of the last few months, isn't Santa just adorable?!  The lights are my favorite little touch.  Only 5 more days until Christmas Break!!!!!

Science Notebooks

My class is such a journalling/notebooking bunch!  We already LOVE our math journals so much that we are now tackling science notebooks as well.  I found a great science notebook blog called Science Notebooking. They have some great ideas!  Here are some pictures of the science notebooking we have done in our classroom.
